Author’s Note:

I read around 100 books a year (average). Some years more; some less.  (131 in 2019, a stressful year) Most are audiobooks (400+ and counting since 2013). But, some are Kindle eBooks, and the rest are print versions. If I am idle or stressed, I prefer to read (or write). If I am driving alone, I listen. Reading is the best way to stay informed, gain knowledge, learn new skills, develop your vocabulary,  soak up culture, develop different appreciations, be challenged by others’ ideas, and come up with some of your own.

I prefer books that strengthen my spiritual life, inform me about culture, politics, theology, trends, and history (especially biographies), or teach me a new skill. I also appreciate the odd novel, just for fun, and sometimes binge on them (when I’m stressed). If you are not already an avid reader, make it a habit.  Stop wasting time and start reading, today.
